Not a lot of painting done today, just this small one. I was taking care of a lot of things before I leave town on Monday to judge the plein air show in Hood River, OR and to teach a workshop. It was things like post office, bank, tires on the car, emails, twitter, waiting & waiting. At least I have my new tires now, all ready for the next road trip.
I used a large brush with lose strokes and thick paint, using what some would call “mud” in the foreground. I call it supportive grays for the brighter, purer colors. This is an example of lots of colors mixed together, not just 3. It was whatever I had on my palette, modifying it with what I needed for that stroke.
