Oh My! It has been a busy summer. A move to start the summer and off to Europe for 2 1/2 months before the unpacking was even done. It was an eventful trip with many paintings, memories and lots of paintings to come. I thought I had things under control and finished in advance for my trip. The reality was that I had a lot of work to do when I returned home.
The first thing to face was to finish the unpacking, mostly the studio. I finished that, then had to dive into getting things organized and finished for the American Impressionist Society National Show. After all, I am the show chair this year, so that did entail a lot of work. I’m in Denver at this time getting ready to head off to Detroit tomorrow to teach a workshop after that it’s back to Denver for the show. And what a grand show it will be. More on that later.
I haven’t posted many paintings of Europe or written about the trip yet. I’ve had some family issues to also deal with thrown in the mix, as does happen to all of us at some time. There are still some things to deal with, but I feel like I’m catching up and not feeling so overwhelmed. Social media, my blog and newsletter all seemed to be more stress than I was ready to face for a while. I guess I’m slowly feeling ready to face the world soon. I better be!
I will be blogging about my trip and showing you paintings that were painted along the way with a few stories and paintings for sale. I also created a lot of videos while in Europe. I’m now working on getting more videos for my online workshops. Some are almost done, hopefully they will be up for sale in a week or two. Along with creating the videos I have been making a new website for the videos which is just about ready for the unvieling, or possibly having a “grand opening”. I’m not quite ready with it, but soon, soon. (a little teaser here).
Now, to catch up with the workshops. I have added several new workshops for next year. I haven’t been working on the promotion of my workshops lately or anything, for that matter. NOW, it’s time.
A few workshops coming up!
I still have a couple spaces in my Phoenix workshop in the Superstitions coming up Oct 9 – 11
I added two new workshops in Phoenix this winter. They are a new format, in response to AZ residents and winter visitors. During the Celebration of Fine Art in Scottsdale, I will be teaching Jan 26 – 30 and Mar 9 – 13. These will be 5 day workshops but the lessons themselves will be held from 8 am to noon for $395. per student. That will leave the workshop students time to paint in the afternoon where ever they want to paint. Some people wanted shorter days for workshops and others just wanted me to teach during the winter. I have always had a problem teaching and taking time off during the Celebration. This schedule will make it possible to do so.
After the Plein Air Convention, I have one workshop which will be held in Maryland at the Chesapeake Fine Art Studio May 8 – 10. This is a fabulous studio and location. For more information, click here.
My Italy workshop this year was a fabulous success, so…… I added another on for next year. I sent out one notice about it on facebook and already have bookings. Two weeks at La Romita in Umbria, Italy June 18 – July 2, 2015, Click here for more information.
Immediately following Italy is Normandy France July 3 – 10, For more information, click here.
If you would like to have a workshop taught in your area, let’s see if we can do it!
Any questions about the workshops? Let me know.
